On St. Patrick's Day, 2008, CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital celebrated its 100th Anniversary. To commemorate this milestone in the hospital's Journey to Excellence, the Foundation has embarked on a three-year campaign to establish a multi-million dollar Centennial Fund. Patient care, cancer, mental health, cardiovascular disease, education, prevention/wellness programs, and capital needs will be prioritized, and the funds raised during the campaign will be directed toward meeting those needs. The Foundation is also celebrating the fact that CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital is a leading healthcare facility expanding the efforts of the past, exceeding already established excellent levels of service now, and providing quality medical care for the facility and the region far into the future. CHRISTUS St. Patrick realizes healthcare needs and trends are ever-changing, and works to parallel the services it offers. In an effort to do this, the hospital is concentrating on disease reduction, diabetes, specialized care in obesity, geriatrics, women's health, and heartburn.
